Create 1D elements on the following component with given cross-section and DOF

procedure :

1 .  imported the parllel bracket file which is in IGES format 

2. extracted the midsurface and created seperate collector for upper and lower bracket by          using shift+F11

3. 1D ------> RODrod------>created the RBE2 link with translational degrees of freedom

4 . assaigned the property as steel gave the youngs modulus and poissions ratio and density 

5. after creating the rigid links to assign the cross sections clicked on the hyperbeam and in standard section  for rod assigned the box section by giving dimensions

                             - Dimension a= 12 mm

                              dimension b=10 mm

                              Thickness t= 0.75 mm

6 . same procedure repeated for the beam and bar by using RBE3 links 

and for beam I CROSS section was given with given dimensions and with all dofs 

and for bar is symmetric section gave CROSS section with given dimensions

and joined the remaining two components with spring elements

and applied the masses for the RBE 2 links

7. if i want to see whether the 1d element created or not go to the 



By doing this challenge came to know that what is the difference between rod beam and bar  sections and also learnt about how to create different cross sections in hypermesh for 1D elements
