MESHING OF FRONT PANNEL AND HEMMING PROCESS

Objective:

  The main objective the process is to mesh the given hood model using ansa and do the hemming process at last.

Hemming:

   The hemming process is used in many automation where it helps to join two different surfaces with different material type and dimensions.

Operation:

  • At first, the model is imported to the ansa
  • Then the front inner panel is taken as a separate part and associated as different PID.
  • The topo errors are cleared and geometry checkup is made to make sure geometry is free from single cons and triple cons.
  • Then the front outer panel is taken and the same procedure is followed like assigning different PID and clearing up all geometrical errors.
  • Now then the middle surface is created of the inner panel as well as the outer panel and assigning it as different pids separately.
  • After separating the mid surface both inner and outer panel, hemming takes place.
  • Thus deleting the unwanted surface and pasting the surface with one another to create a clean surface.
  • The ideal cons are triple cons for the hemming process.
  • Thus pasting the surfaces it forms triple cons exactly the hemming operation took place.
  • Now separate the hemming part and set as a different pid.
  • Thus hemming surface, the mid surface of both inner and outer panel are taken and meshed
  • Then mesh qualities are checked according to the quality criteria.
